Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Rochester. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in New York are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 2β10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Sweet Retreat Rochester at (585) 360-2008; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 409 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian dessert in Rochester and suggests consistent service.

I went in looking for some chocolates to give as a gift. The young lady working asked if she could help me. I said no, I was looking for chocolates. She suggested I get a Dubai chocolate instead. I said sure. It looked so good I wanted to try something for me. I asked what she suggested and she said to try the Biscoff Bliss mini pancakes. Well, I hadn't had dinner yet, so why not pancakes for dinner!?!? So, add some fresh raspberries, strawberries, blueberries along with some Biscoff sauce, white chocolate drizzle and some lotus crumble. Not the dinner I had planned but oh so much better!! I won't come off my sugar rush for another 3 hours but soooo worth it. A hidden little shop that hasn't been open for 2 years yet. Friendly staff with big smiles and bigger personalities. I'll be going back soon (after dinner some night) to try the crepes.

This spot is ridiculous cool! We went in thinking we were just going to get ice cream and landed on a gold mine of creativity, flavors, and great vibes from the women running the spot. We live close by and I know this is going to be a favorite of ours for years to come! I got the watermelon mint refresher (but only because I canβt do dairy). The chocolates and cakes and everything in between looked sensational. We saw one of the folx in the back preparing a giant what mustβve been bowl of Dubai chocolate. Holy shit! Who are you people??

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Sweet Retreat. She has been there many of times. This was my first time there and I loved it. We had Nutella Dream and the Dubai Delight. They were incredible I canβt wait to try more of the desserts. Nutella Dream Nutella and white chocolate sauce, topped with seasonal fruit. Dubai Delight Filled with a crunchy pistachio kunafa filling, drizzled with pistachio spread, Belgian milk & white chocolate.

We went here just to try the fruit shaped pastries. I was pleasantly surprised as to the taste. So good!!! Itβs like a mousse filling with fruit. We tried the coffee bean, pineapple, raspberry, banana , apple and strawberry. A little pricey but itβs an art for sure. Absolutely worth trying !!!

Yet another dessert shop hits Rochester and itβs another keeper! The interior is beautiful and inviting with plenty of seating. Sweet Retreat is now in our top 3 because it boasts something new for us. The bubble waffles are here to stay. I ordered 1 Cookies & Cream Bubble Wand and 1 Strawberry & White Chocolate Wand. I loved the addition of the Whipped Cream. My favourite has to be the Strawberry Wand. Every bite was a delight. Itβs a shame I didnβt order 2! My partner opted for Turkish Tea and 2 Pistachio Paradise Bubble Wands and he and really really liked them. Looks like we will be going back sooner than we thought! Shoutout to Nasreen for being awesome.
